SOM TAM THAI(ส้มตำไทย)

In Thailand green papaya salad is called (Som Tam) and is made with fresh Garlic and chilies are first crushed to release their flavors. Then, long beans/ french beans, dried shrimp and peanuts are added and crushed. This not only tenderizes them, but it also helps them absorb more dressing. Thai Tea

Thai tea (also known as Thai iced tea) or “cha-yen” (Thai: ชาเย็น) in Thailand, is a drink made from strongly brewed Ceylon tea. Other ingredients may include added orange blossom water, star anise, crushed tamarind seed or red and yellow food coloring, and sometimes other spices as well. This tea is sweetened with sugar and condensed milk and served chilled. Evaporated milk, coconut milk or whole milk is generally poured over the tea and ice before serving to add taste and creamy appearance.

Gaeng Phet (Red Curry)

Red curry (แกงเผ็ด) is a popular Thai dish consisting of curry paste to whichcoconut milk is added. The base is properly made with a mortar and pestle, and remains moist throughout the preparation process. The main ingredients are garlic, shallots, (dried) red chili peppers, galangal, shrimp paste, salt, kaffir lime peel, coriander root, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, peppercorns and lemongrass. Common additives are fish sauce, sugar, Thai eggplant, bambooshoots, thai basil (bai horapha), and meat such as chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, frog, snake or duck. This dish normally has a soup-like consistency and is served in a bowl and eaten with steamed rice.
